FAQ

  • IS EVERYTHING ON THE MENU VEGAN?

Short answer: No. We make every effort to make the majority of our menu items modifiable to fit within a vegan diet, however we are at our core, a vegetarian restaurant. We use butter, cheese, eggs, and dairy in some of our dishes, however with the exception of some menu items, we can edit almost anything to accommodate a vegan diet.

  • DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING GLUTEN FREE?

It’s 2023, we understand gluten is the enemy. That being said, we love noodles and bread. We have gluten free options for nearly everything on the menu. We understand that there’s a major difference between Celiac disease and a preference to avoid gluten, please inform your server if you have Celiac so we are able to accommodate more effectively!

  • DO YOU ACCOMMODATE ALLERGIES?

We are happy to accommodate even the most challenging of food allergies. All we ask, is that if you have an anaphylactic allergy to something, you bring an Epi Pen, and if you have an allergy to onion or garlic please give us 24 hours notice.

  • DO YOU ACCEPT LARGE GROUPS?

Absolutely! We accept reservations for up to groups of 10 through OpenTable. Should you require a larger seating than that, please contact us via reservations@thecoup.ca and we will get back to you with menu options. Please be advised groups of 8 or more are subject to an 18% gratuity.

  • ARE YOU FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Families are always welcome to dine with us, however we do not have a designated kids menu, nor do we have changing tables in the washrooms.

  • CAN YOU MAKE A DISH I HAD 10 YEARS AGO?

With time comes change. We love that you loved something that The Coup was doing at some point along its many iterations over the years, however we rotate our menu seasonally and old favourites will be featured on a limited basis. That said, we can not take requests for dishes on a case by case basis.
